About TADA

Who We Are

The Tongu Agriculture Development Association (TADA) is a registered farmers’ association dedicated to the holistic development of agriculture in the Tongu District of the Volta Region, Ghana.

Established in 2025, TADA brings together smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, agricultural extension officers, and development partners to drive sustainable agricultural transformation. We advocate for farmers’ rights, provide capacity-building training, facilitate access to inputs and markets, and promote climate-smart farming practices.

Crop Production & Training

Modern agronomic practices, soil health management, seed improvement, and production techniques for staple and cash crops including rice, vegetables, and cassava.

Irrigation & Water Management

Supporting farmers with access to small-scale irrigation systems, borehole development, and water conservation techniques for year-round farming.

Market Linkage & Value Chains

Connecting TADA members directly to buyers, processors, and exporters while facilitating cooperative bulk purchasing and collective bargaining.

Youth & Women in Agric

Dedicated programs targeting young people and women with training, mentorship, startup grants, and access to land and inputs to grow their agri-businesses.

Climate-Smart Farming

Adapting farming to climate change through drought-resistant varieties, agroforestry, composting, and sustainable land management techniques.

Policy Advocacy & Rights

Amplifying farmers' voices on land rights, input subsidies, credit access, and agricultural policy at district, regional, and national levels.
